A whole new term

A brand new term has started and this is actually the end of the 1st week already!
Alright, I've thought through for a while and came up with some dos and don'ts for this sem.
I hope they can guide me to get better grades this sem.

DOs
1. Attend every lecture
2. Revise each lecture on the day itself
3. I should get down to work on my term paper as soon as i get the questions
4. Readings that are printed should be read through and annotated, otherwise don't print.
5. I should complete each and every tutorial before going for tutorial classes.

DON'Ts
1. Procrastinate and leave my work for tmr, thinking that i have ample time.
2. I shouldn't start watching new drama serials during term.
3. Mahjong is a NO NO! So friends, STOP tempting me!
4. Visit my farm more than twice a day.
5. Sleep before 12am.

3. CL2204 Chinese Semantics
4. SSA1201 Singapore Society
5. GEK1539 A Brief History of Science

Happy 4th Anniversary

This is a late late post that was supposed to be up on 1st Jan(:
Happy 4th Anniverary, dear!
Four years is a long long time...
Thru this four years, we've had both happy and upset times.
Quarrels are of course inevitable but it all seems worth while at the end of the day once we've thrashed things out and move on from it! I am really glad to have you by my side all these while, to cheer me up when i'm down, to encourage me to press on when i'm just about to give up, to talk some sense into me when i'm incorrgible.I know i'm quite horrible at times. LOL. So on and so forth...
Actually I've got lots of things to say,but i'm nt really good with writing, so I probably wouldn't type them all out here! But i suppose i've already told u what i've wanted to say. (Just in case you are reading)

Happy day!

I haven't sang for a long long long long time! So glad that i finally had the chance, just before term starts! We had a fufiling breakfast.. so full that we felt like sleeping! Enzymes working on the food in our overloaded stomach= sleepy.

But this was all before we went to sing! As the time draws nearer to our singing session, you start to see grins on our faces!!

After k-boxing, we decided to reward our growling stomachs wth xiaolongbao(S)! We headed for crystal jade steamboat with free flow xiaolongbao(S) at Holland V. YUMMY YUMMY!

And i told myself that i would be coming back for the xiaolongbaos and forgo the steamboat! Hahahaha!

This is no doubt a wonderful day for me! Cause singing and eating happens to be my fav. Of course, the company of my dear is important as well! I have to treasure this as I dunno when our next singing and makan date would be!! LOL.

Awfully touched!

Jinling and I caught this movie on wednesday. And I would give it 5 stars! It's an award winning taiwanese movie. Touching and realistic, you would feel that the exact scenario might be happening around us. Being one who is always very "absorbed" into the show, i cried a couple of times. Yep, that's how good it is. Haha! Enough said, otherwise I would sound like an advertisement (:

Post exam

Post exam life had been enjoyable so far. I've been going out with my friends and Ben for food and shopping. I visited Chinatown with Jinling last week, Vivo and town with Ben a few days ago, and Mj with Ben , Clarence and Xianglong a few days ago. Sadly, I haven't been feeling quite well): I think my days had been so packed with tuitions and meeting ups so much so that I'm actually yearning to stay at home for one or two days. I did so yesterday. The feeling of nt having to wake up early for tuition was great. I rewatched my KangXiWangChao( I know you guys must think that I'm mad, but nvm) and read my book. That feeling was great. But i felt more sick after that. I guessed i stared too much at the computer. HAHA!

Next week would be another busy but yet fufilling week. I would be meeting up with Connie(finally), do some last min shopping with ben for his bro's wedding, attend ben's bro wedding dinner and finally Mj on sat!

I realised it's been quite some time since I last posted pictures. Now my blog seems so dull. I shall add some colours to it next week(when i get all my pictures ready)

Midterms are over!

It's finally time to blog again! Yea.. I know it's been like ages since i last blogged. Well, actually i think that is a good sign. This implies that i've been studying for my mid-terms. I guess this is the first time i ever finished the things that i planned for revision. (:Hopefully my hard work will be paid off! Hee.

I've been wanting to share something since last week. An incident I saw randomly on the bus, but never be able to forget for the next 7 days, which so happens to be today! Wahaha..

Here it goes,

It was around 8am in the morning. As usual, I was waiting for the tibs bus at the cashew bus stop. 8am in the morning, so i suppose i should be yawning and yawning and trying my utmost best to keep myself awake. Just then, I caught a glimpse of a lady walking down the path at the corner of my eye. She's a blonde. And she was dressed up to the nines! Perhaps she was going on a date. Actually what really caught my eye wasn't the figure hugging black dress that she was in. It was the extremely low cut front that protrudes like three quarter of what she has. And the first thought that came to my mind was, ew.. i thought only celebrities on tv dresses the way she did. And the second thought that came thereafter was, hm.. angmoh jiu shi angmoh. Haha.. After going through all that thinking, i was half awake(:

Then, the bus came and we boarded. I went to a seat near the exit door of the bus and sat down. And the show began! That angmoh lady happened to meet someone she knows who so happened to be another angmoh. That sexy angmoh lady was sitting on the outside seat and facing the aisle while talking to her friend who was sitted diagonally across. Just then, i realised this ah pek sitting across the aisle. As the sexy lady was facing him, he was practically able to see "everything" i mentioned above, i guess. And needless to say, I caught that ah pek stealing glimpses of that "everything". Feeling irritated, I continued to keep watch of that cheeky ah pek. As timed by me, he was caught stealing glimpses almost every 10sec! ARGH!I call that animabic behaviour. One who cannot controls himself thus behaving like an animal. I'm not trying to be overprotective of female rights here. I do understand that it is hard for someone, even for the ladies, to not respond to such a sight, but i simply find it outrageous to be staring almost every 10sec. 饱享艳福，撑死你啊！ So old already still like that. 嗨！男人啊。。。

After that, I was TOTALLY awake.

Party World (:

Recently, I had a singing session with S12 friends at party world clementi! That was last last friday.. Haha.. So perhaps it isn't that "recent" afterall. Lol. But i finally found time to blog as I just came back from Genting. Yep! Anyway, back to what i wanted to say.. The last time i sang with them was at Chevrons. I guess that was a year ago! It is always fun singing with them as they are very entertaining! And i realised that four hours simply isn't enough for the 5 of us. Too bad karaoke systems are no longer that popular at homes. Otherwise it would be nice if anyone has one at home. One with individual playlist etc. Woohoo! Am i thinking too much again?? I sure think so. Kk.. I shan't say any further. Time to unpack my stuff and wash my clothes! Let the pictures do the saying..

最近常在休息时到 facebook 做观光旅客 。从令人垂涎三尺的他人八卦到令我倾心相爱的可爱游戏，我都无不捧场！没办法，诱惑力太强，定力不足。

从朋友那儿知道，他们不但做足至今的功夫，还已经博览全集，阅读了下一二周的材料。嗨 ！真是惭愧。就拿现在来说，这篇日记，我的字迹，本该不存在。可是。。。我还是被诱降了。 这篇文字也已足构成降表。

虽然君子非我也，但这首诗的内容应该在适合我不过了。是给自己的警惕，也给那些目前生活中尚且无所事事的人。

This is an overdue post. I'm so sorry that I only managed to blog now!
Dragons had dinner behind Sunshine Place market. We ate "zi cha". Yummy!
Once again, I missed taking photos of our food. Argh. I guess i was too hungry.. Either or, the food was too tempting that I couldn't wait.
I realised our photos are very blur! That's for not using the flash..zZ

Back to school stuff..

I think I need 48 hours a day in order to finish my readings in time before a whole new pile comes crashing in. -_-

But the problem is, I'll never get 48 hours a day, unless like Hermonie, I have a time machine enabling me to revisit passed time whenever i need to. If anyone were to invent that, I would buy it at all cost!! Haha..

Okay.. i guess by now you guys would be thinking that I'm crapping. BUT BUT BUT, I"M NOT! I really mean it!! I would be happy if time can be borrowed or transferred or bought! Haha.. Being unable to finish my stuff on time gives me a better understanding of the chinese saying "一寸光阴一寸金，寸金难买寸光阴”。

The Belated Birthday

It's only been the third week of school and my dear friend is sick!
But I believe he is feeling very much better after seeing us! Hahaha!
Yup.. We've been out celebrating Albert's birthday.. Belated one actually.
And we bought him a adidas jacket(:

I'm so tired! Next coming up would be Dragon's dinner.. Haha..

Teachers' Day Gift

I received my first ever gift from a student today! Haha!
Seriously, i was quite surprised when my student said,
"Teacher, this is a gift for you! Wish u Happy Teachers' Day in advance!"
Lol. Yeah.. I know that might sound "song", but i was so touched!
That really made my day! Especially so when it was pouring just now...
Hm.. I shall start to think about teaching as a profession seriously. (:

Come to think of it, I don't remember being so sweet and nice to buy gifts for my teachers when i was back in sec 3. And i thought that buying gifts was a primary school thingy.. Haha. So apparently I'm quite mistaken! lol..

Yep, so much said.. I'm glad i've been catching up with my readings. Although i am still a little behind my readings for EC2101, I'm not feeling as stressed! That's something good i suppose(:

Too full??

Bugis trip was not really fruitful as i didn't manage to get what i intended to!

I only remembered buying a mickey mouse t shirt and the rest was food.

But i'm still as delighted cause i love eating? Haha.

First we had the KFC porridge meal for brunch. Yummy! Thanks Ben! And we had yoshinoya for lunch.. Two types of fastfood in a day.. -_- Haha.. Both of us were bloated after lunch and didn't feel like moving!

From the above pictures, I conclude that Ben is a better actor than me! zZ!

为什么当你在和小朋友说话时会出现这样的现象？
“宝宝不要哭了，姐姐（= 我）带你去买糖果！”
注：使用的是“姐姐” 而不是“我”

为什么当我们被亲戚表扬时，父母总会有这种反应？
亲戚：“你的儿子好聪明啊，能在本地大学读书，人又长得帅！”
父母：“他啊。。。很懒惰！家务都不帮我做！”（之类的话）
父母为何都不一同称赞自己的儿子呢？

为什么弟弟妹妹平日叫你姐姐，但在生气的时候却会连名带姓地叫你呢？

为什么老师会和同学们这样说话？“期末考就快到了，我们要一起加油！”
但我们明明知道老师其实是要同学加油。

为什么当某某人对你说“小丽，你真会做人！”可以是褒义，也可使贬义？？

为什么外国人在说话时所使用的第三人称和我们有些不同？
Me: “May I speak to Peter?"
Peter: "This is he!"

哈哈。。。这个周末我得好好去想一想！

1st week of school

This is only the first week of school but i feel exhausted.. Oh no..
I know that's really bad. However, I really feel that after the first lecture i already have lots of readings to do and the lecturers are already briefing about term papers and projects. They are sort of hinting that we should get started on the research part. This is so unlike me. Barely passed the first week of school and I'm already so worried about those already piled up work.

EC2303 Foundations for Econometrics and EC2101 Microeconomics I are fine so far.. But the reading kills. Three chapters each for the first lecture..

CL2121 which is the history of chinese literature is a killer! I can sense those literature works coming, on the way to bombard me. I'm really afraid of literature now.. But this is a core module. SOb.

CL3203 (Pragmatics and Discourse Analysis) and CL3207( Sociolinguistics) are quite interesting. A big part goes to the lecturers i guess (: But the thing that is worrying me is that the size of the class is sooo small (one 10 , e other one 19). Can you imagine how sharp is the bell curve!? And I'm one out of three of the year 2 amongst the year 3 and 4.

All right... see i've been complaining.. I guess i feel better now.. after some blabbering! I can't complain to Ben as he will say i am always complaining.. lol. so i guess this i s my only source.. sorry ppl!

Time to start my first set of readings..
