06S17 CNY gathering 09

Thank you KM for organising the S17 CNY gathering!

It was yet another fun-loving catch up session that we have.. (=

The laughters which we had were still the same and the amount of fun

you guys brought is too..

But i realised that something is diferent.

We were no longer heading towards the same goal like we had done before.

Instead everyone now has their own path to take. I really miss the times of studying and playing together with them! Haha. I will end up quite emo after each gathering as I would recall happy memories we once had!! Silly me! lol. I guess no matter how long time may pass, 06S17 will always be the best class I ever had! Cheerios!!

The Wedding Game

I watched The Wedding Game with Ben yesterday. This movie first caught my attention because it was starred by Fann Wong, who so happens to be my idol since young. Idol ma.. so of course must support! Just as expected, it was a comedy. I must admit that i get amused easily.. So you can imagine me laughing right from the start. I remember telling Ben that I was having stomach cramp cause i laughed too much. -__- But the best thing is that I've totally forgotten what i was laughing about the moment i stepped out of the cinema. Yes.. it was that serious! Hm.. I guess it might be that i am experiencing premature aging or the movie simply has got no plot.. zZz.. Alas, I did have a great laugh and that certainly helped me de-stress!

International Week

I had my 1st life science lab lesson today!
I can't believe that i only learn how to use a microscope at the age of almost 21.
Haha! It was fun to see how cells of plants look like as we can't get to see them with our naked eyes. In any case, I had a great time..Meet three new friends from Arts who are also taking lsm1301 as a Breadth module. I don't feel so lonely now, having to cross over to Sci fac twice a week. (=

Anyway, i met Huijun after lessons today to take photos with traditional costumes. Hahaha!
It is international week therefore we get the chance to try out those costumes. Haha.. I shan't say much about it.. See it for yourself! haha.. On top of that, there were free samples of traditional food from various countries. We gave that a miss given that my dear friend hasn't complete her tutorial when lesson was just about to begin.!!!

everything is just NOT right

It's the third week of school and I already have so much readings undone.
And when i say so much.. don doubt it.. Hai. That is really depressing.
I think Econs lecture simply sucks and CL1101E isnt' any better. I really hope I would be able to settle down real soon and get cracking. New Year is always a season with all play and no work for me. Before i know it, it is over and work has piled up! Now i understand what my friends mean when they say sem 2 is tooo short!

You can be unhappy but let that pass quickly, yea?

2009 resolutions!

2008 seemed to have passed very quickly.
It's time to do a short recap of what I've done for the year.
I thought it had been quite a fruitful and unforgettable year for me.
1. I had a taste of administrative work for 4 months.
2. I did relief teaching for another 2months following that.
3. I managed to get my driving license.
4. Completed a semester in FASS though results weren't good.
5. I went on a holiday trip to Beijing, Tianjing and Chengde with my family.
6. I learnt cooking, baking and how to iron clothes during the Dec break.

It has been an unforgettable year though not for a good reason as I've lost my grandfather to cancer. This is the first time I've experienced losing a close kin. The memories of what grandpa has left behind will always follow me. (=
To my dearest grandpa:
我永远都会怀念你！

And the following will be my resolutions and targets for 2009
1. I need to learn to be strong and optimistic!
2. I need to work harder to get better grades.
3. I should start to be more health conscious.

Lastly, I hope that 2009 will be a good if not better year for my family, my friends and myself!

I felt quite bad as it was "sai gang" plus he was sick..

I'm done with all the bidding and all should be ready for the new semester.
I hope this would be a great year ahead!

Some updates..

I recently met up with connie.
We went to Chinatown to do some shopping!
She introduced me to hokkien prawn mee at a hawker centre there. I love it!
It tastes delicious! Our shopping trip was quite fruitful as we both bought some clothes.
I bought a brown shorts! I was quite relieved that my heels didn't cause me any problem! (=
Our last stop was a dessert shop. We had carrot cake and some mango pomelo thingy. Haha..
I thought it tasted quite good. I shall go back there when I have the chance.

Next..
I have been staying at home. Looking after my brother and doing some housework.
I only came to realise that I've been pretty down for the past few weeks. I'm starting to feel suffocated whenever she is at home. I hope this feeling goes away soon. I don't wish to talk about things that have happened. How would i describe it? 有口难言？I don't know.. Maybe rather I'm starting to get used to it such that it is pointless to talk about it? My only wish is to start school soon so that i can meet all my friends again. I can't wait to see them and i really miss them all!

dragons gathering

I finally met up with the dragons today.
We have decided the last time to meet on the 27th of every month or once a month.
Our initial plan was to meet at 1100 and catch a movie at 1115, lot one.
TinFong msged to say that she was going to be late as she just woke up and will not be joining us for movie. The rest of us met at 1100 and decided that we wouln't catch any movie! Shumin already watched IP man, the movie which the rest of us wanted to watch. Therefore, we decided to walked around instead. We had pizza hut for lunch and Tinfong joined us as soon as she could.
We stayed on in pizza hut to gossip after lunch.. Haha. I guess there was too much to catch up with over a period of 2 months. (= We went to Shihui's house for our christmas exchange gifts and passing of souvenirs for those who went abroad. I got Shihui's present! Haha.. Thanks a lot daohui.. I love your handmade gifts.. I love your piggy earrings and necklace most! Thanks thanks! TinFong got the diary that i bought. I hope she likes it! I wanted so badly for myself. =P
We tried Weeling's pineapple tarts! It was awesome!! Haha! Especially for a pineapple tart lover like me. (= Thanks darling! Tinfong made some cookies too! To be honest, I thought they were fine! Shihui is too mean la!! Haha.. It was fun catching up with you girls! Thanks for the joy and laughters that you all have brought! See you all soon, on the 7th Jan 09!

Merry Christmas!

I'm here to fill in my recent updates of what I've done since I was back!
I caught the movie Cape No.7 with Ben Teo..
It's a nice movie.. haha.. Ben simply loves it!
I didn't quite understand the movie at the start..
Luckily Ben was there to explain to me!

It's the Christmas season!
I managed to do some shopping today. (=
We had lunch and went to Bugis.
It was crowded as usual..
But surprisingly, I was more bearable with the crowd today!
Maybe because of the current season of love. Haha.
A few pairs of earrings and a belt are all that I got for myself.
It was so crowded that I gave up the thought of even trying out the clothes. (=
It came as a surprise for me to see a GUESS shop in Bugis Junction, given that I haven't been there for a long time!
I was complaining to Connie about the GUESS sales at Taka..
There wasn't any nice stuff remaining by the time i visited.
The branch at Bugis Junction had many nice wallets and bags on sale!
I bought myself another wallet! (=
That's the reward for myself this Christmas for doing housework chores and cooking.. (=

i'm back!!

i was back yesterday..home sweet home!i simply missed the
local temperature and food!
the first place we went after touching down was to have breakfast at coffeeshopi miss our carrot cake (cai tao guay), you tiao, fish porridge etc.
beijing's food is way to salty to my liking..
haha!
and it was also too cold for me..
managed to take a whole lot of pictures!
i particularly love the snow scenes!

i'm in beijing- day 1

i landed in beijing international airport at 3.25pm!
the temperature then was around 2 degree celsius.f
reezing cold..
and on top of that.. we had to get of the plane via a staircase and board a bus to the airport..
then..change to a tram to the correct terminal to collect our luggage!
my gosh..and this time round we took air china..
i must say their service is really.. ermerm..yea..
dian dao wei zhi..
our first stop in beijing was to watch a acrobatics show which lasted for one hour.
it was quite exciting i thoughti love the bian lian part the most (=
it was 630pm when the show ended..
we proceeded to have our dinner at "yu shan" meaning imperial food
tasted a couple of dishes of Man Han Quan Xi, those which Empress Dowager Cixi loved.
i remembered the name of one of the dian xin called "Yuan Meng Shao Bao" (Realising Dream Bun)..
this unique name was given by the empress dowager herself..
one of her dreams came true after eating the bun, therefore the name of that unique bun!aha
the dinner was alright..
my family sat together with another family of four..
parents are both teachers...

hai.. can't stand singaporeans who like to compare so much..
first thing that male teacher(father) sat down , he asked my mum..
"how old are your kids??"
"ooh..ic.. so are they still schooling?"
"where are they studying?"

"i'm teaching in blabla..it's quite famous in the east!" (although i've nvr heard of those schools b4)haha.. i hope these "eagerness to show off" attitude will cease of after the first dinner..
if not..dun think i can stand having my meals with him for the rest of the trip!!
kk.. i know i should stop these negative stuff..
aha.. i hope tomorrow will be a better day! and a warmer day too!

exams are FINALLY over!

yeahness!
4 dec marked the end of my examination and the last day of Sem 1 too..
time has really passed so quickly that i just came to realise that i've spent a semester in uni.
i'm glad that the exams are over and what's left for the rest of this year is "time for fun".hee!
i think i need a good break!
so people, if you wanna go kbox, movie, shopping ,mj or anything, give me a ring! (=

some recent updates on myself..
my maid has gone back to indonesia and my mum has decided not to employ a new one..
reason being my youngest brother is old enough to be independent and of course.. she wants us to start doing some housework too! aha..
hmm..i thought doing housework has been fine so far..
but i realised there's something that i really dread doing!
cleaning up after cooking! aeww!

to connie: i need to thank you for all the reasons that you've thanked me for too! it's a vice versa thingy! (=

i'll be leaving for china tomorrow!
i shall update when i'm back!

i was so excited to get home from school that i mistook 189 for 184..
luckily i realised it early and got off at the next stop -_-

just got back my human geog project and phy geog lab report.
not fantastic at all..
to be honest..i'm rather disappointed.
got a B for human geog project and a B+ for phy geog lab report.

i hope things would get better as times pass
hopefully i'll be able to get used to uni life better.
the stress level is building up in me..
this is getting bad..
i don like the way i am now..
the feeling of getting stressed over exams is sucky..
argh~

i'll try to think of the hols that is coming up soon while i study! (=
